Performance improvements are never just a case of straightforward increments in fitness, but improving weak areas without sacrificing strengths….and the ability to apply this to both event, terrain and pitch against direct competitors. This takes a combination of insight and project management…to understand an athlete, both physically and mentally, to maximise likelihood of success. Simon has one of the highest rates of achieving training deliverables in the industry.
Simons own athletic background is both cycling and running since his early years, he excelled at both competiting to elite level in the Italian UDACE local race scene and more recently marathon, taking part in the 2011 Boston Marathon, before securing top age group results in duathlon in the last two years. He now splits his time between Surrey and Yorkshire supporting clients goals, while maintaining good form at the occasional Park Run or regional cycling event.
His clients span the globe, and can be found as far as California, under remote training prescription for those who prefer meticulous power-based coaching, with minimal training time or need to overcome specific physiological needs, such as age-related disuse, sarcopenia, over-training, nutritional problems or recovery from prolonged absence or injury.
Although Simon applies the main principles behind each pillar of sports performance, his quest for more knowledge is relentless, seeking chartered scientist and Training Peaks Level 3 coaching status.
